Comparison of both projectors: Optoma HD142x vs Optoma HD141XThe Optoma HD142x was released in July 2016; the Optoma HD141X arrived in the market in August 2014.
Concerning the projection system specifications, both projectors have a brightness of 3,000 ANSI whereas the Optoma HD142x has a lower contrast of 23,000:1 than the Optoma HD141X having 20,000:1. Both projectors have a resolution of 1920x1080
As for the image system, both projectors don't have the vertical lens shift nor the horizontal shift, and both projectors have the vertical keystone, but none has the an horizontal keystone correction, which means that you have to put the projector in front of the screen, but it can be fixed on the ceiling or placed on a table, lower than the screen.Both projectors have the 3d mode.
