Comparison of both projectors: Optoma HD142x vs Optoma HD27The Optoma HD142x was released in July 2016; the Optoma HD27 arrived in the market in August 2016.
Concerning the projection system specifications, the Optoma HD142x has a low brightness (3,000 ANSI) compared to the brightness of the Optoma HD27: 3,200 ANSI whereas the Optoma HD142x has a higher contrast of 23,000:1, the Optoma HD27 having only 25,000:1. Both projectors have a resolution of 1920x1080
As for the image system, both projectors don't have the vertical lens shift nor the horizontal shift, and both projectors have the vertical keystone, but none has the an horizontal keystone correction, which means that you have to put the projector in front of the screen, but it can be fixed on the ceiling or placed on a table, lower than the screen.Both projectors have the 3d mode.
