Comparison of both projectors: Optoma HD27 vs Optoma W320USTThe Optoma HD27 was released in August 2016; the Optoma W320UST arrived in the market in March 2016.
Concerning the projection system specifications, the Optoma HD27 has a low brightness (3,200 ANSI) compared to the brightness of the Optoma W320UST: 4,000 ANSI whereas the Optoma HD27 has a lower contrast of 25,000:1 than the Optoma W320UST having 20,000:1. The Optoma HD27 has a lower resolution of 1920x1080 than the Optoma W320UST having 1280x800.
As for the image system, both projectors don't have the vertical lens shift nor the horizontal shift, and both projectors have the vertical keystone, but none has the an horizontal keystone correction, which means that you have to put the projector in front of the screen, but it can be fixed on the ceiling or placed on a table, lower than the screen.Both projectors have the 3d mode.
The Optoma HD27 is HDMI compatible, it doesn't have VGA IN port, the Optoma HD27 has an audio out, and has a USB port. The Optoma W320UST is HDMI compatible, it has a VGA IN port, the Optoma W320UST has an audio out, and has a USB port.
