Comparison of both projectors: Optoma ML550 vs Optoma W320USTThe Optoma ML550 was released in July 2013; the Optoma W320UST arrived in the market in March 2016.
Concerning the projection system specifications, the Optoma ML550 is brighter with a brightness of 500 ANSI (Optoma W320UST has 4,000 ANSI) whereas the Optoma ML550 has a higher contrast of 10,000:1, the Optoma W320UST having only 20,000:1. Both projectors have a resolution of 1280x800
As for the image system, both projectors don't have the vertical lens shift nor the horizontal shift, and both projectors have the vertical keystone, but none has the an horizontal keystone correction, which means that you have to put the projector in front of the screen, but it can be fixed on the ceiling or placed on a table, lower than the screen.Both projectors have the 3d mode.
The Optoma ML550 is not HDMI compatible, it has a VGA IN port, the Optoma ML550 doesn't have an audio out, and has a USB port. The Optoma W320UST is HDMI compatible, it has a VGA IN port, the Optoma W320UST has an audio out, and has a USB port.
